GSA’s Treetop Adventure Trip 5/11

The Office of Graduate Studies and Graduate Student Association are proud to present the next exciting graduate student trip – ZIP LINING AT CBK MOUNTAIN ADVENTURES! If you’re interested in attending, please read through ALL of the following instructions.

WHO: Current Drexel University Graduate Students with a valid Drexel ID –  $20 – CASH ONLY!* Full payment is due at registration. We will not reserve space without payment. Please provide exact change. Sorry, no guests.
*Online Students: You may call or email Graduate Studies (ogsstaff@drexel.edu, 215-895-0366) to pre-register. Please mail a check made out to “Drexel University Graduate Student Association” with the total amount due to:

Your registration will not be confirmed until we receive payment. Check must be postmarked by Wednesday, May 1st. We will then scan and email you your ticket(s) and liability forms required to board the bus.

WHAT: 1,000” Zip Lines – Come try the best heart-pounding adventure ride in the Pocono Mountains! Zip through and over the trees, 85 feet above the ground! Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Please provide any special dietary needs or restrictions when you register.

WHERE:  CBK Mountain AdventuresOne Camelback Road, Tannersville, PA 18372 (About 2 hours from Drexel)

WHEN: SATURDAY, MAY 11TH - Meet buses at 6:45 AM at 33rd and Chestnut Streets, buses will leave promptly at 7:00 AM. You will be assigned a bus number at registration. Upon arrival at CBK, group sessions will run at 9:00 AM, 9:30 AM and 10:00 AM respectively followed by lunch. You will be assigned a session number (1, 2, or 3) at registration. For security purposes, you may not switch buses or sessions. No exceptions.

WHY: Adventure! There are twin zip lines next to each other so you can race your friends! You can fly above the ski slopes and glide into the landing in thirty seconds flat. You are participating at your own risk and will be asked to sign a participation form and waiver form at registration. Anyone who is not present at registration to sign their forms can bring them the day of or sign their forms before boarding the bus. No one may get on the bus without signing these forms.

HOW: Registration is on a first come, first serve basis. You may register at the Office of Graduate Studies in Randell Hall Room 240 beginning MONDAY, APRIL 22ND during office hours, Monday-Friday between 8:00 AM – 5:00PM or until tickets are sold out. The deadline to purchase tickets is MONDAY, MAY 6TH by 5:00 PM or when tickets sell out. Tickets will likely sell out. There are no refunds or waiting list. Please plan accordingly.

TICKETS & TRANSFER: Do not lose your ticket. The ticket you receive at registration will have your name and registration information on it. It will match the official registration list. If you cannot attend the trip and would like to transfer your ticket to another student, you MUST contact Graduate Studies by 5:00 PM MONDAY, MAY 6TH with your replacement student’s name and information. There are no refunds, no exceptions. After Graduate Studies confirms the transfer, please write the replacement student’s name on the ticket as indicated. Tickets may only be transferred ONCE. We must have the updated name and information on our registration list or the individual will not be able to participate.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Due to liability, no one will be allowed to drive separately if participating with GSA.
  • You may not reserve tickets without payment (see exception above for online student pre-registration, registration not confirmed until payment is received).
  • There will be no waiting list or additional buses added once tickets are sold out.
  • There are absolutely no refunds, no exceptions.
  • Sorry, no guests.
