DBGA/BIOMED Clothing Sale Raises $900 for Charities!

Drexel Biomedical Graduate Association is proud to announce the great success of their DBGA/BIOMED clothing sale for charity event. They sold hoodie sweatshirts, T-shirts, and sweatpants (regular and yoga style) with logos and drawings designed by DBGA members. The sale was open for 3 weeks, and in that time period we sold over 150 individual articles of clothing resulting in a profit for charity of $900. Each order form included a list of 10 worthwhile charitable organizations. Those placing orders voted for their favorite charities and the top 3 organizations were chosen to receive the proceeds.

St. Jude’s Children’s hospital received $400.

The Pediatric Aids Foundation received a donation of $300.

Additionally, the Revlon Run/Walk for women’s cancers received a donation of $200.

Finally, it is worth noting that the custom designed clothes were printed at a local Philadelphia printing shop, ensuring that we supported local small businesses at the same time. We are eternally grateful to the students, staff, and faculty who purchased clothing to show their school spirit while also supporting a great cause.
