GSA (and the Hagerty Library) Want YOU

The Graduate Student Association (GSA) is looking for 2-3 graduate students to serve on a small committee of students and faculty to redesign the library and create new learning spaces (on campus and online) for students. This project does specifically deal with buildings on University City campus, so a graduate student from that campus is best suited for this committee. The immediate result of the work will be to create a request for design work to complete the renovation of the W W Hagerty Library, work we hope to complete this calendar year.  But the discussions of what programs and activities will be needed in the future will also offer a broader articulation of the type of spaces needed beyond this centrally located facility.

There are three sessions planned, with the first scheduled for January 25, 4- 6 p.m.   It would be terrific if you could attend all three, but participation in one or two will also be welcomed. contact GSA for more information or to volunteer. Email dsogsa@drexel.edu

    Hi,

My name is Ranjit, and I am a first year doctoral student at the iSchool at Drexel. I am also a certified librarian.

I am really interested in joining the committee “to redesign the library and create new learning spaces (on campus and online) for students”. Unfortunately, I missed the session that took place yesterday due to other engagements. I would appreciate if you could send more information regarding the other two sessions.

    Cheers,
    Ranjit

We already have someone participating on behalf of GSA but we are in need of a volunteer to work with the library to start a book club. Are you interested in that?

We have a position available if you would still like to help. Please check your email. Thanks!
